Columbus, August 18 Herr Tel and McNeal of this city have built clover seed harvesting machines for Herr Seed Harvesting Company of Columbus. A test on James A Granton farm north of the fair grounds showed the device harvests hulls and cleans seed while leaving stalks for fertilizer, with no clover heads left. One machine will be exhibited at the fair this week for demonstration. Inventor John Herr from near Lebanon inspired the project with local capital supporting ongoing work.
