Embezzler Evans Seized After Absence From Frankfort
In Frankfort Indiana sheriff Haggard went to Waterloo Iowa with papers to extradite David Evans, a former Palace Livery Barns operator who vanished with 800 dollars from Hickox & Son and collected about 800 more from farmers before fleeing. Authorities tracked him to Waterloo where he was arrested. Evans had left his wife to run the business, then she sold the barn and moved south.
