Girls Surplice Choir’s Easter debut impresses churchgoers
The Girls Surplice Choir of twenty four girls ages ten to sixteen appeared at First Baptist Church morning service in white gowns and performed several selections. Stolen Livery Rig Strikes Nearby Town
A hay mare and buggy were stolen yesterday from Big Edwards and Busby Livery. A young stranger named Miller hired the rig at 6 7 a m and drove toward Sutphin's. he has not been heard from. The buggy, with a gray wolf robe, shows signs of hard driving. Local investigators link this theft to a second horse and buggy taken from a church yard in Sheridan, later found near Lon Varntz's farm.

Deprivation of Citizenship By Chicago Courts
In Chicago on April 21, the Cir cuit and Superior courts stripped 154 men of citizenship amid wartime actions against anarchists. Judge Pinckney revoked 55 naturalizations suspected of anarchistic agitation, while Judge Ball last week revoked 99 for failing to swear they were not anarchists.
