Kirklin resident Clemens faced a Grand Jury inquiry after refusing to answer where he obtained whisky. Prosecutors pressed him as he admitted buying alcohol but declined to name sources. Judge Claybaugh warned of jail if he again refused, and Clemens prepared to testify again.
In Fort Wayne area, April 1, a grand jury and Deputy George Haggard jailed Stuart on charges of desertion and ill treatment toward his wife and two children. Mrs Stuart reported destitution to Trustee Yat, prompting Prosecution and a grand jury inquiry. Stuart was found at Hin and placed in jail in Hite City at about 9 30 last night.

Mrs Kate Cook died yesterday at her home in Zionsville. She was a Greenfield girl and sister of Charles Berger a pitcher for the Cleveland team. Her body was taken to her father Charles Berger Sr of Greenfield. She was twenty three and wife of Charles Cook. She leaves a son three weeks old.
George M Campbell aged 85 years 11 months 12 days died of organic heart disease yesterday at his home two miles east of Bizzaville after a nine month illness He was born in Nicholas County Kentucky May 3 1822 twice married first to Emiline Reno then to Sarah Reno He leaves Sanford and Nancy A E Campbell as children and four sisters Funeral services will be held in Elizaville at 11 am Friday officiated by Rev Newton Vandevort Interment will be at Hopewell.
The Indianapolis Star contest to pick the eleven most popular Indiana young ladies ends May 1. Ruth Coombs, in Boone County’s district ten, holds second in votes and is urged to rally county support as other local entrants withdraw to unite behind her. Coombs, 19, an orphan, student at the high school, and Central Christian church worker, resides with grandmother Lydia Adair.

Cattle markets were uneven with good steers and fat stock lower, extras like extra fancy heifers at 6.25, calves steady to 0.95 lower, veal strong at 6.75, sheep and lamb steady with yearlings 6.50-7.00 and fat sheep 5.00, spring lambs 8-12 depending on size.

An inbound Shelbyville interurban car No 26 jumped the track at Prospect street near Indianapolis at 7 10 am injuring about twenty five passengers. Sid Conger of Shelbyville a state oil inspection supervisor was severely injured with a deep gash and a bruised arm. Theodore Eck of Greensburg and Willian Bassett of Shelbyville also suffered injuries. Motorman Tower and conductor Cragan assisted injured passengers. The crash followed brakes failing to slow the car before the double track junction.
Suit was filed to set aside the will of Benjamin F. Weaver who died in February. Plaintiffs Ernest L. Weaver William F. Weaver Mary K. Weaver Agnes Conner Peter W. Heady and Caroline Lease nephews and nieces. The will dated Agguat 1903 left the 10 acre farm and all personal property to Mrs Ellas Crossley who had lived with Weaver. Plaintiffs allege he was of sound mind and that Crossley used undue influence fraud and misrepresentation to obtain the will.
Walter Witt and Boyd Bynum hosted an informal gathering for Tip Bickley at Mrs. W. O. Darnall's with Easter yellow and white decorations and a ranch meal. Guests then returned to Witt's to share well wishes as they bid Bickley farewell to his new home in Oklahoma.
