District Meet of Red Men Proves Decided Success
Frankfort Indiana April 8 the district meeting of the Red Men held in this city yesterday afternoon and last night proved a success in every detail with overflowing attendance in the big lodge hall and overflow rooms. Delegations from Boone Hamilton Montgomery Howard Tippecanoe Carroll Warren White Tipton Benton Clinton counties attended along with Frankfort members. The afternoon session opened with roll calls and reports showing active tribal work and membership gains across eleven counties. Great Council degree was conferred in the evening followed by special degree work by Gunneville Indiana noted for its Longfellow Haivaatha inspired adoption work. The visiting Gunneville team conferred the adoption degree on many candidates last year 108 and this year 58 so far.

Robbers gained entrance to the Guernsey Ice Cream plant on South Meridian Street by forcing a side window and stole the cash drawer for a small amount. Two young men were seen loitering near the building at 9 p.m. Police are investigating.
