Naval Academy Exam Shows Cadets Fall Short at Annapolis
A class of twenty six at the U S Naval Academy in Annapolis Md had fourteen cadet engineers fail to reach the required standard. They may retake the exam with others who present themselves and must show high merit for advancement. The Temple of Honor reports 78 subordinate Temples and 3 000 members in the state and 22 grand bodies across 22 states. The Suprema council will meet in Chicago on August 11. The Roman Catholic Church has grown in the South postwar with a 70 percent rise in church and school work. Augusta Ga reports about 200 converts and most officers in the regular army are church members. D M Boyd Jr Pennsylvania Railroad issues annual excursion routes for 1878, a 225 page book with photos, ticket prices, and resort descriptions.
