Bednar’s funeral Mass of the Resurrection followed at SS Cyril and Methodius Church with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Irvin D. Williard funeral was at St John’s United Methodist Church Grantville with burial in the church cemetery. union officials served as bearers. Rothermen Funeral Home handled arrangements. In New York, Clarence Cassin, king of the Daily Mirror sports desk for many years, dies at 77 in the Bronx hospital with Thursday funeral plans announced.

House Okays Rate Ceiling on Home Mortgages
Harrisburg reports the House approved a measure to keep an eight per cent ceiling on home mortgage interest through December 1975. The bill, approved 125 to 66, would cap mortgages at 35 000 or less, with total amortized cost including premiums and lenders fees but excluding insurance premiums and some fees. If not passed by July 2, the ceiling reverts to six per cent.

In Los Angeles a blind father saved his 3 year old daughter Blythe after she fell into a family pool. He located her by tracking air bubbles heard underwater and pulled her from seven feet of water. She was revived by mouth to mouth respiration and listed in satisfactory condition.

Driver Injured In One Car Crash Near Lehman Street
Gloria J. Gibble, 21, of 2102 Allegheny Avenue, Lebanon, was injured when her car hit a tree and rolled onto its roof near Lehman Street and Eleventh Avenue in North Lebanon Township at 8 a.m. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. damages were listed at $2200. Death Bill Goes To Pa House After Prison Slayings
