Two youths from Jeffersonville confessed to burglaries at A P Woods jewelry and A H Booker harness shops in Frankfort after police faced them with the charges. The majority of stolen items were recovered at locations the boys named. They were returned to the Jeffersonville reformatory on petition charges of petit larceny.

Woman killed by lightning in Indiana yard tragedy
Mrs. Jer ome Tenny, 30, of North Webster, was struck and killed by lightning in Warsaw, Indiana, while in a yard near a clothesline. Her body lay in the rain for an hour before discovery. She leaves a husband and three small children. Miss Bess Nicely of Advance is visiting Mrs. Frank Cory.

Contract Awarded for Stokes School Furniture and Central Room Chairs
At the Lebanon school board meeting the American Seating Co. won a contract for desks and furniture for the new Stokes school and folding chairs for the Central school assembly room. The board also set a $75 monthly minimum wage for exempt teachers and named Prof Slagle head of the mathematics department with a $5 weekly raise to $90, contingent on Miss Grace Norwood leaving for work in the west.
