Prosecutor Dodson and Chief Elhis reveal sensational claims from a police interview about youths tied to a robbery at Paves's proceed last night. Trowbridge admitted involvement but later denied the confession under oath. Several others, including Brochar and Grashar, were arrested and questioned as Dodson hints at further names to be brought before police.
Harold Shirley 17 Joe Trowbridge 15 and Ward Touch 16 were arrested after a burglary at Pavey’s Grocery. They admitted prying open an orange case and stealing nearly half a case of fruit, while denying entry to the store itself. one youth was allowed to stay home on bond.
The Lebanon school board holds a regular session tomorrow evening to decide on employment for next year. The main item is choosing a music teacher with about six applicants reportedly in the running for the position.
Irene Dillard and Pearl Rosenthal both sixteen escaped from the Indianapolis Detention home by cutting a kitchen door lock. They were found aboard a freight train near Thorntown and returned to the home after police stopped the train near Lebanon.
Carl Byers of Hazelring will leave Friday for Denver to join his wife Mrs Byers who is there for her health. Mrs Byers is much improved in western climate and they will make Denver their temporary home. Mr Evers sells household goods and closes their tatelrigg home as they prepare for the move.
The Rev. J. A. Knowlton, longtime pastor of First Baptist church in Valparaiso, tendered his resignation effective July 1. He will move to Indianapolis to undertake supply work in the city and nearby areas.
Transfers record shows B. B. McRoberts transferring lots 33 34 35 in Longley’s addition and lots 5 and Miller’s sub in Lebanon to Isaac H. Palmer. Rebeccah Beatty conveys lots 30 31 in K. K. T. addition Lebanon to Charles W. Beatty for $1.00.
The 59th Boone County fair premium list is ready for Aug 11 to 14. Premiums increase for horses and cattle. a spotted Poland China class debuts in swine. new poultry entries include pigeons guineas rabbits and Belgium hares. Townships split into three groups for corn wheat oats contests with sweepstakes and a boys under 16 corn premium class. Departments list superintendents for horses cattle poultry horticulture bees table comforts and art.
A large six cylinder car with a closed display compartment parked on the west side of the Lebanon square. The Northeastern Michigan Land Development bureau showcased over 180 square feet of land products while F. H. Sevon lectured. The exhibitors said they traveled from Noblesville and covered 800 miles in Ohio and over 700 miles in Indiana.
Indiana Governor Ralston revokes the parole of William Denson who served 21 years of a life sentence for murder. Paroled in 1910 from Park County. Michigan City prison officials report he mistreated several young girls, leading to today's revocation in Indianapolis.
Two men arrested at Oaktown Indiana and brought to Princeton were identified as George Dunbar and Herman Vail. Both say they are from Frankfort Indiana and are former convicts serving burglary sentences. Dunbar was paroled from Jeffersonville Reformatory last April and Vail last October. they will be returned to the institution.
A recital at the Methodist Episcopal church Friday evening features Clarence Ball tenor Miss Mary Henderson pianist and James Wynn flutist from Indianapolis. The free program begins at 8 o clock with Beethoven Schubert and Debussy selections plus a spoken note about the Erl King story.
President Wilson denied clemency petitions for four dynamiters including Frank Painter who represented the union at Omaha. He followed Attorney General McReynolds in granting immediate release for three others and indicated further pardons could come later as many conspirators began serving sentences.
William Smith a local attorney will marry Miss Ethel Miller of Frankfort tonight at eight o'clock in that city Bert Winters of Indianapolis will serve as best man.

Miss Geraldine McInerney of Lebanon marries Preston Condit of Indianapolis at the bride’s home on East Michigan Street Indianapolis Rev O H Carmichael officiates. Aunt May Wilson of Lebanon attends. McInerney has toured in Grand Opera. J E Morrison travels to Saratoga for elevator repairs.
A Hillisburg show owner’s ponies and goats are alleged targets of cruelty. Four Hillisburg men allegedly induced a local youth to pour carbon bisulphide on the animals, shocking crowds and endangering spectators. The youth fled town and has not returned, while Frankfort Humane Society investigates.
Mrs. Lee Morris entertained her Sunday school class at home Tuesday afternoon with fruit salad and cake. Attendees included Hazel Miller Florence Campbell Edith Campbell Nile Coons Nada Ulery Elsie Shaw Stella Williams Virginia White Mary Hill Bessie Wills Vivian Kersey and Blanche Curtis. Special guests were Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Relander.
Judge hears of Bay View experiences as B S Higgins sends a characteristic letter. J W Pinnell and companions report rain in Rain Lake with pickerels and bass caught. Joe Coons allegedly breaks all records for big fishing while Morris Ritchie and family arrive. Mr Smith of Campbell Smith and Ritchie is seen with his family.
Paris reports a temporary resumption of postal services after strikers and Ministers of Posts agreed to a truce. Deputations will be heard and complaints taken up, while workers return to duty but hold to potential future strike action.
Presbyterian Ladies Missionary Society hostesses to Westminster Guild and others at Mrs. B. F. Coombs 1186 East Washington Street. Cora Bynum led devotion followed by a four scene parlor drama Cindy's Chance staged before about fifty guests with Vernie Frank solo, ice cream and cake served.
The regular meeting of the woman’s Social Union of the First Baptist church was held this afternoon. The Walnut street Baptist church ladies were the guests. A picnic supper followed in the basement at 4 o’clock.
Juliet Beals sues the L F E W railway Co for 2000 dollars in Boone circuit court claiming injuries alighting from a train at Noblesville Indiana. The case previously yielded 1800 dollars for Beals at Noblesville and was remanded for a new trial by the Appellate Court for instructions issues.
Natkemper Connelly & Co. of Terre Haute sues Andrew D. Archey and America A. Archey of Thorntown for 75.50 on a coal account. The defendants operated as A D Archey & Co. in 1912 retail coal business. Jesse C. Smith represents the plaintiff.
A new suit was venued today on account by Chas J Gardner against Edward T Reynolds to collect 7660 dollars. It is alleged the account is long past due and the plaintiff should have 8500 dollars. The account is for meat furnished the defendant for retail purposes.
Governor Ralston granted a youth parole for Rus sell Robertson who had been held only a week at the Indiana Reformatory. Sheriff Peyton reports the 16 year old convicts on larceny in Vanderburg Circuit Court is believed to be under 15. Robertson will return to Henderson by home with his father. He was kept separate from other inmates by Superintendent Peyton during confinement.
The Indiana Mayors' Association set the next meeting for Thursday September 24 in Indianapolis. An executive committee meeting at the Dennison Hotel approved the date and drafted bylaws while urging A C Sallee to boost membership. Attendees included mayors Bauer, Voland, Bossee, Mellette, Bell, and Secretary Sallee.
