Boone County farmers and their families are invited to attend three free performances at the Olympic theatre in Lebanon. Outdoor Union Sermon Opens Lebanon Church Summer Services
The first of the Lebanon churches outdoor services will be held Sunday at 7 50 pm on Main Street opposite the courthouse. Rev A L Watt will preach the opening sermon with about 40 chairs set up and reserved parking for vehicles. An orchestra led by Leslie Troutman and the Mendelssohn Male Quartet will provide music. If it rains the service moves to the Presbyterian church. the hour long event marks the first combined outdoor church service in the city.

County Poor Farm Home Invites Tour of 28 Inmates
A county poor farm near the city houses 28 residents, 12 women and 15 men, in a three story brick building. Superintendent Randell relies on two hands and seven workers to manage 505 acres with 14 milk cows, 12 cattle, 10 horses, and 75 hogs. Inmates have hobbies including a man tending a pet chicken.
