The Crane brothers plan to ship Guernsey cattle from Holland to Boone County for dairy breeding. They aim to supply a new Boone dairy operation with high milk fat and butter quality, linking to the Indiana Condensed Milk Company. The venture follows growing interest in Dutch cattle and promises strong milk production.
John Anderson 32 of 478 East North Street was struck at Hiinote and Werushington by Harry Crafton near Rodehdide. Crafton was arrested for manslaughter and held at City Hospital after witnesses disputed his guilt. Crafton formerly resided locally and is connected to a prominent divorce case involving his son John J. Crafton.
United Presbyterian Church members who are involved in liquor license applicants or property owners who rent for saloons may be disciplined by their church. Joseph McClusky of south Darlington was operated on Tuesday morning for acute appendicitis. Dr. Clark of Indianapolis and Dr. Pol Jom and Peacock performed the surgery after the appendix had burst. The patient is progressing as well as could be expected and is not viewed as in serious danger.

The long rumored marriage of Miss Michele Miller of Frankfort to William H. Smith of this city was confirmed when Miller visited Lebanon. The ceremony is set for June 24 at the Miller home and announcements will be sent June 9.
The Lebanon band played its second concert of the 1911 season Wednesday night on the north side of the courthouse. A large crowd attended as automobiles lined the north Washington street curb. The ensemble is praised as one of the city’s best.
A social afternoon program at a Hartman home on South Street drew many guests for a musicale. Performers included Miss Mary Coons and Miss Miller, with floral decorations in pink and white and guests from nearby towns and cities.

In a lengthy circuit court decision Judge Willis upholds the two year closing of 29 Muncie saloons after a special election. The ruling supports the use of voting machines and findings that 452 voters backed the dry option while 4192 were marked not counted. The decision follows Loganport precedent and leaves potential reversal to higher courts.
