A campaign vote boost offers 150000 extra votes for each ten dollars in subscriptions, valid until next Tuesday at 10 PM. The top donor candidate wins a 20 year guarantee Elgin gold watch, displayed at Mc Daniels Jewelry, with other prizes to be awarded later.
The Crawfordsville city seeks an order from Boone circuit court to compel Rev. George W. Watkins to remove his house. The structure is alleged to project eighteen inches into Wabash avenue and obstruct the view near the Masonic Temple, violating city laws. An afternoon club gathering at Mrs. Samuel Storms’ North Meridian street home included guest Mrs. Arthur Reiger of Anderson.

A pony hitched to a Matthews grocery delivery wagon driven by George Wade broke loose near the Adventists Church on South Lebanon Street and rode through the city, ending at the West Washington Street canning factory. Groceries spilled along the route. no injuries reported.
The Bay View Club gathered Monday at Mrs. C D Orears home. Mrs May Wilson presented Our Neighbors Latin Americans and Mrs Coverdales topic The Amazon Country. Miss Zella Bratton and Mrs Denny gave piano solos. Mr and Mrs C H Davis left for Rushville due to Mr Daviss brothers death.
In Paterson a 10 year old boy, Max Rabinowitz, is held without bail in county jail charged with the murder of Sammy Hocksian. He and two younger companions were in a building with convicts when a rifle shot to Sammy’s temple ended his life. The boy claimed self defense but police and the slain boy’s father protested.
The Indiana governor Samuel M. Ralston is celebrated on his fifty seventh birthday. Born in Ohio, he moved to Indiana, sank the first coal shaft at Fontanet, and ran a mine before teaching, studying law, and entering politics. He graduated in 1884 from Central Normal College and was admitted to the bar in 1886 before being elected governor in November 1912.
The executive board met at the Claypool Hotel Indianapolis to plan the annual meeting set for January 26 to 29 in Indianapolis. Headquarters will be at Claypool with an exhibit in Tomlinson Hall. Attendees included H. C. Heldt, M. L. Corey, W. L. Hubbard, O. S. Torbet, Charles E. Hall, Milo J. Thomas, FE. Barrett, J. S. Hussey, and Albert De Prez.
Irwin Brown and H E E Bales filed suit in circuit court against Selesta A Graham on note and account for 153.40. The plaintiffs say they issued a note to J C Brown Hardware Company for the amount.
Senator T. L. Neal and Seth Porter sue William D. Lane in circuit court to recover $50 on a note. They seek judgment for the amount due and costs.

An unidentified auto struck the rural mail wagon driven by L. T. Wade on Lafayette avenue last night, breaking a front wheel. The car fled the scene and the driver did not stop. Wade plans to pursue the driver’s identity in follow up.
Miss Irwin Brown hosted the Fortnightly club at her North Meridian street residence this afternoon. Guests included Miss Frances Mahen, Mrs. George Spahr, Mrs. Anna Byers, Mrs. Charles Crear, and Mrs. C. H. Denny of Noblesville, who enjoyed a Christmas themed luncheon.
The Lexington Life Insurance Company paid a $1000 death claim for Wilson T. Johnson within a week of his death at Indianapolis hospital. It was the third claim the company has paid. Martin & Johnson named administrator of Johnson’s estate. Charles McIntire spent Monday hunting in the country.
W C McHugh of Glaser Crandell Chicago pickle makers met with Boone County Tomato Growers and Lebanon Businessmen at City Hall to discuss a salting station in Lebanon. He outlined acreage expectations and urged farmers to sign contracts for at least acres of pickles, aiming for rapid commitment.
