Vancouver B C retailer paid 1 40 for Genitian C grade apples in good condition while Browning received 80 cents. last year he had 25 replies from around the world including Australia where buyers paid 5 per box.
An advertisement claims torpid liver constipation and stomach disorder cause headaches and promises quick relief with Dr King’s New Life Pills. It says the pills stimulate organs to function properly and regulate liver and bowels. Priced 25 cents, available at druggists or by mail from H. E. Bucklen & Co.
