Passenger and freight collision blocks Great Northern line
An eastbound Great Northern passenger train No. 44 collided head on with westbound freight No. 181 an apple train of nine cars fifteen miles east of this city near Monitor. The line was blocked until noon last Friday. No deaths reported. Fireman H A Martin of Spokane on No. 44 suffered a broken leg while baggageman E A Miller of Seattle lost a finger and sustained a head wound.
