Washington metal mine yield in 1913
The 1913 total value of Washington metal mine output topped just over $1 million, down 6 percent from 1912 due to lower silver and copper production and weaker prices. Gold output rose 2 percent to $694,000 despite a shut cyanide mill at Republic. Silver fell about 21 percent to 326,000 ounces, with copper down 9 percent to about 986,000 pounds as Chewelah production slowed for plant upgrades.
