Former Leavenworth Man Fugitive From Justice
A. Manne, once of Leavenworth, posed as a wealthy Canadian buyer in San Francisco. He bought the Terminal hotel for 75000, paid 5000 by check on a Hamilton Ontario bank, discharged staff, borrowed against the receipt, and vanished within an hour before arrest. He is at large. Hamilton bank cannot verify his identity. He previously ran an Overland case here, earned distrust in Wenatchee, and circulated false notes. His pattern mirrors Get Rich Quick schemes.
