Picturesque Leavenworth Welcomes Visitors and Settlers
Leavenworth sits at Tumwater Canyon mouth one hundred fifty miles east of Seattle and twenty three miles west of Wenatchee. The town offers hunting fishing and mountain climbing with pine forests snow clad high peaks and trout filled rivers. It is a pleasant climate with pure water elektricity and good hotel accommodations at reasonable prices. Freight and passenger division of the Great Northern Railway serves the area. Population about one thousand people.
