First Lazy Husband Sentenced Under Seattle Support Law
Geo Red Riggs known in Seattle automobile circles becomes the first to be punished under the new support statute. Justice of the Peace Fred C. Brown sentences him to six months in county jail and assigns $1 a day wage to be paid to his wife Mrs. Freda Riggs and their baby. Riggs denied neglect, failed to post $1000 bail, and began serving at the stockade north of Ballard.
