Nail Ingested by Five Year Old Passes With No Injury

The five year old son of George P. Kirchner swallowed an 8-penny nail while playing at home in Waterville. Laxatives and quiet care were used, and about eight days later the nail passed, leaving the child uninjured. The Kirchner family returned to Waterville greatly relieved.
