Quincy irrigation project eyed to reclaim 500000 acres
A Spokane Realty Board luncheon heard A J Ternent outline a plan to legislate a large irrigation project. The scheme would reclaim 500000 acres in the Quincy valley, with water from Wenatchee lake diverted under the Columbia River. State bonds of 40 million dollars would back the work, secured by property as first mortgage. Dean Condon, Judge Graves, and Senator Phipps assist in drafting the bill.
