Dam Improvements Strengthen Mi Company’s Dam
Under George A. Daily of Lamb-Davis Lumber Co the dam project advances with rock crib filling spillways strengthened and two wings added to guard banks from back wash. Thousands of tons of rock were dumped below the dam and a solid float of logs laid atop the rock to support the high water flow. The structure has withstood two years of pressure, and winter work reinforces its strength. The town showed scant sympathy at a baby’s funeral with few men attending beyond the bereaved father and a minister. The Fraternal Order of Eagles plans a second annual dance February 22 at the opera house after a successful prior event. Our thanks go to the women who aided at the burial of the little boy and may they be spared similar sorrow. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Meacham.
