Longtime Remsen Resident Dies In Kingsley Car Crash

Willam Endisen 78, longtime Remsen area resident, died of a heart attack while driving on Highway 140 on Monday near Kingsley. His 1948 Buick veered into a ditch and struck a tree. Funeral plans were pending at Moeller Funeral Home in Remsen.

Orange City Justice of the Peace Henry Bastemeier dies

Henry Bastemeier a 67 year old lifelong Orange City resident and World War I veteran died Sunday night at the Sioux Falls veterans hospital after a two week illness. Military services will be held Wednesday at Tumuy Reformed church in Orange City with pallbearers among the five Orange City men who served in the war. He is survived by his wife Geri Roze Boom a son Norman a daughter Mrs Dale Hubers a stepson Bob Vis and five grandchildren.

Akron Boy Dies in Bike Truck Collision

Funeral services set for Francis Lee Shedd 14 of Akron Iowa who died from head injuries after a bicycle truck collision three miles east of Spink South Dakota. Sheriff reports the accident involving his brother Dani 12, trucker Norman Abraham 47 of Spink. Francis was a Hawarden Iowa high school sophomore.
