Inauguration Services At Westmar College October 26

Westmar College will hold inauguration services October 26 in Minais Iowa to install Dr Harry Ho Kalas as president. Kalas assumed duties in July and brings long experience with colleges nationwide including leadership roles with the National Council of Churches of Christ and Iowa Inter Church Council. Theodore A Distler will deliver the address. he is executive director of the Association of American Colleges and Universities and former president of Franklin and Marshall College.

Freshman ISU Football Schedule Set for 1956

Ames Iowa Charles Kennedy of Le Mars is named on the 1956 Iowa State College freshman football squad. The freshmen will play two intercollegiate games this season with Missouri University at Columbia on October 26 and Nebraska University at Ames on November 2. They practice basic formations and drill with the varsity as the opponents each week.
