A single rifle shot near Jack Kelleher's shack a block from the Debonair club disrupted a neighborhood party. A 28-year-old from Vinton drives a 1950 Ford with a fanning mill on the back when a semi rolls into a ditch on Highway 33 near the sale barn Thursday at 9 a.m. Vernon Urban in a 1954 Chevrolet is rear-ended by a 1953 Chevrolet pickup driven by Earl Stoffel on First Street Southeast at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. License-examiner visit to Le Mars for renewals Friday and Saturday.

Police issued thirty summons Sunday night to owners who parked on streets after midnight in the business district. Ten more were towed Monday night, four repeats from the previous evening, and four on Tuesday night with more on Wednesday night. Offenders must report next day before 5 PM at the Mayor’s office as streets must be cleared from midnight to 6 PM to aid snow removal. The order lasts until May 1.
