Sheriff Frank Scholer said Robert W. Rowatt of Des Moines held by police in Sioux City will face a preliminary hearing Friday on charges of lascivious acts with a child in Plymouth county. A 14 year old girl, missing then found unharmed, was linked to a separate case near Hinton.

Former Marcus Man Killed In This Car Wreck

The interior of the auto driven by Keith Tentinger struck a bridge abutment between Cleghorn and Marcus on Easter Sunday morning. Tentinger was thrown from the wreckage and died en route to the hospital. The car’s motor was pushed into the front seat and the steering wheel bent backward to the top of the car. Tentinger, formerly of Marcus and recently of Dubuque, was visiting Marcus at the time of the fatal accident.

Eason Re-Elected President at Flosh Valley Association

At Le Mars Monday night 24 of 30 directors re elected George Lason of Le Mars as President for another year. Sid Wander Griend of Shekton became Vice President and Ray Anderson of Merrill was re elected Secretary. Oscar Fristad of Le Mars was chosen Treasurer. The Executive Committee includes Ralph Wendt Lloyd Wentauer and Alden Fishine. The group noted the death of Louis Bromtiekl of Ohio and tentatively planned a tour of upper Plymouth and Fee sub watersheds in April to review consultations.

Wind Gusts Hit Seventies At Mars Airport

A 70 mph wind gust was recorded at Mars Airport on Saturday. Officials report minor disruptions as high winds caused temporary delays and some equipment to be reset. Topsoil moved between fields and flood controls were addressed, with limited precipitation and a high temperature of 46 near the day’s end.

Public Schools Plan Annual Spring Art Exhibit

The Le Mars Public Schools department will hold its annual spring art exhibit on Thursday and Friday, April 12 and 13, in the Central School basement activity room.
