Death of Serina Heggem in LeGrand area
Serina Heggem died of old age and infirmities before 11 am last Friday at her daughter Malinda Thompson’s home near LeGrand. Born June 24, 1526 in Vienna, Norway, she emigrated in 1854 and married Peter Heggem in Illinois in 1855. Survived by six other children, a brother, and many grandchildren. funeral held at the Thompson home with services in Slater.
