Blunder in Law Made King Share Sentence
The London Answers notes puzzling drafting errors in bills. A 1909 board of trade reform would have exposed presidents to penalties, and Anglo Indian divorces were invalid in Indian courts. A long-ago linen theft bill left a fifty fifty fine to the prosecutor and the king, creating the illusion the king shared the sentence.
