Auto Accident Near Town Involving Mrs Keen And Baby
Mrs Keen and her year old son escaped serious harm when their Studebaker plunged from a bridge on the Lincoln Highway west of town. The engine stalled, the car rolled down the embankment, and landed upside down in creek mud. Comforted by onlookers, they were soon home with only minor injuries. The car sustained heavy damage, but Ralph Shelton and the Keen team righted it within hours.

Accidental Death Tuet from Alberta Brother to Arrive
Henry Kempe of Chicago will bring home the body of his brother Charles E. Kempe, killed Aug. 31 by an accidental gun discharge while hunting prairie chickens near Alberta. Charles, born April 25, 1883, lived in LeGrand area before moving to the Dakotas and Alberta. Survived by mother Anna Kempe and four brothers, with funeral at the Christian Church conducted by Rev. Baker. Burial at Pleasant Hill. The Christian Sunday School held its annual picnic Sept. 7 at the Marshalltown city park with autos and baskets.
