Rural Adverse Returns Restore Old Post Route Blanks
Rural service will be restored on the old route starting May 16, with changes only south of town. The route from Weitzell corner west to Keen corner and down to the county line remains, but the carrier J M Gaunt did not receive his old route. Laurel routes were reassigned to Gilman and LeGrand. Quaker Wedding Near Dillon Seals Vows Without a Priest

Ole Stangeland and Miss Ingva Olson stood as bride and groom in a home ceremony, promising to love and be faithful before the Friends and family, then signed their marriage certificate. The couple, both orphans, will reside on a nearby farm after a simple dinner.

Mr. Arney, with one senate term and two house terms, first won election to the legislature in 1906 from this county and was re-elected in 1908. As senator he chaired the committee on educational institutions and served on ways and means, agriculture, and railroads, urging renomination after gaining experience. Nearby, lawn mowers run townwide as F L Richards and crew prepare county road work from Laurel with bank cars and tents. Mrs Richards and Mrs Chas Montgomery accompany the crew to supervise camp meals. Mrs Chas Reiterman of Chicago visits Mr and Mrs Jos Reed. the writer recalls the LeGrand Record’s days after a fire forced new printing methods. Mrs Reiterman plans a week here before visiting Mapleton.
