Senior events and commencement planned at local high school

The senior play Ghost of the Redskin runs Thursday and Friday. A Junior-Senior banquet is set for Saturday at the Tallcorn hotel in Marshalltown. Baccalaureate is Sunday at 8 pm in Friends church with Rev. Floyd Hinshaw delivering the sermon. Eighth Grade commencement is Monday May 10 at 8 pm. PTA meets May 11. The senior class offers a program of parting rites, followed by a school exhibit in the gym. Commencement Day May 12 with Supt. Jordan Larson of Ames as speaker.

PTA May Meeting Presents The Last Round-Up

The May PTA meeting will be held Tuesday evening May 11 at 8 in the school auditorium. The senior class presents The Last Round-Up with a 6 30 basket dinner in the gym preceding the program and an exhibit on display. Public invited. Com, Chairman.

Bird Banding Permits Issued For Study By Conservation Commission

The conservation commission may grant bird banding permits to individuals for scientific study with no charge. The town has no existing law prohibiting bird capture for tagging. The L.T.L. will meet at 4 PM Wednesday May 14 at Bobby Phipps home. bring friends.

Parker Named to State Conservation Commission Seat

Des Moines resident Mrs. Addison Parker is appointed to fill the vacancy on the State Conservation Commission after Mrs. Henry Frankel resigned.
