Glowing tribute to former Le Grand boy
Joseph Albert Frundle born near LeGrand November 19 1876 spent early life there. He worked as a telegraph operator for Milwaukee on Iowa divisions then married Marie Bassett of Slater November 19 1900. Later homesteaded near Reeder North Dakota and served as Milwaukee agent at various stations including Lemmon. Active in church and Freemasonry, Frundle held multiple offices and led Presbyterian Sunday school. His funeral tribute praised his life as open and honorable, with a call to emulate his charity, patience and steadfast integrity. He lived as a nobleman of unwavering duty and faith awaiting the heavenly port.

Baccalaureate Service Draws Full Capacity at Christian Church
The 1932 graduates and relatives filled the church for the baccalaureate with Ushered by seniors, teachers, and school board. Rev. Sarah Piper gave the invocation and benediction, Rev. Guthrie preached Youths Domain, and a girls quartet sang Starry Night as blue and silver streamers decorated the pulpit.

The LeGrand township Precinct 1 Republican caucus met at the Reporter office. Ed Harem and Portis Trossem were nominated for trustee terms starting 1983 and 1934 respectively. I F Rubenbauer for assessor, C W Kellogg for justice of the peace, L E Bigelow for constable, B H Beane for committeeman, Rosa Richards for committeewoman. Five delegates to the county convention were chosen: Beane, Richards, Johnson, Radloff, and Adair.
