The Le Grand high school junior class staged When Jane Takes a Hand to a crowded audience despite Friday night rain. The performance cleared about sixty dollars after expenses, with additional showings planned May 9. Seniors and sophomores participated in science and music activities, while sports results showed L. G. H. S. ball team losses to St. Marys 10 to 0 and 8 to 3 in Marshalltown.

Death of Frank Prusha in Iowa City hospital
Frank Prusha, son of Joseph Prusha, died at 3 30 P M Saturday April 26 in University hospital Iowa City from a paralytic stroke. Born August 30 1877 in Bohemia he came to the United States at age nine with parents who settled near LeGrand. He lived in Cedar Rapids Waterloo Montour and LeGrand was his lifelong home. He worked for J G Cherry Co in Cedar Rapids and belonged to Odd Fellows and Moose lodges. Funeral 2 PM Tuesday from Friends church Rev Guy W Harvey officiating. Burial Pleasant Hill cemetery pallbearers Hans Anderson B H Beane John Krughel Lee Stanfield J L Harrison Ray Duncan.
