Woman dies from burns in Prairie City tragedy
Prairie City March 26 Mrs Ed ward Kane wife of a young farmer five miles south of here died today from burns received Friday while doing family washing. The apron caught fire from the stove and flames enveloped her body. Ed Ogburn on the farm tried to roll her in snow to extinguish the blaze but the burns proved fatal after intense suffering.
