Le Grand Crushed Stone Company vows to begin operations in April offering crushed rock ideal for concrete work in the state. In Marshalltown, Eliaz Olson remains under doctor's care this week with kidney trouble. School election in Le Grand yielded a quiet race with B. A. Tow and Geo. C. Coffio reelected as directors for three years and CO. J. Tweet chosen treasurer for a two year term starting July 1. W. T. Emley suffered a serious accident when an ax struck his left hand during wood splitting, nearly severing the index finger. doctors hope the finger can be saved, though the hand will be crippled for weeks.

Auto Stolen and Recovered Near Butlerville

A stolen Buick was traced from Tripoli to Marshalltown and Waterloo before being recovered in LeGrand after the thief fled by train. Web ster City thief Wm. J. Goodenbour confessed, switching plates on the car and ending in loss of the rear number 40261. City marshal Wm. Goodenbour and Wa Ambrose aided in the search. the car was freed from mud at Shelton garage. Other notes include local moves, a market sale, and a nostalgic Sugar snow remark from Ohio traditions.

Ferguson Estate Divided by Will in Probate

The Ferguson estate valued at 250 000 to 273 000 dollars was divided among widow Mrs. Lucy S. Ferguson and five children after a 1913 will with a 1914 codicil. Widow receives 480 acres and much personal property. each child gets 120 acres and 6 000 in cash, with specific bequests to Council Bluffs Christian Home and American Friends Board of Foreign Missions. Jesse Ferguson named executor, land mainly in Marion township east of the city. Several other notes, shares, and a trust arrangement are included. In other notes, quarry work begins and additional housing is urged in LeGrand with 25 modern dwellings needed.
