Literary and Musical Club Hosts in Marshalltown
Twenty members of the Literary and Musical club visited Marshalltown on Wednesday afternoon for an entertainment by the Woman's club at the Willard home. Drake University women provided a trio with a soloist, and light refreshments followed. The group returned around 5 p.m. happy with the afternoon. Mr and Mrs Chas Harvey traveled to Searsboro to see Eliza Jane Davis who is seriously ill after a fall causing a broken hip. Joseph R Caputo of Quarry, a student at Iowa State College Ames, placed second in a sheep judging contest among seventy eight sophomores and helped the Iowa State debating team against Grinnell in late February.
