The Le Grand Red Cross sewing group met on February 26 and finished all work on hand. Unless notified otherwise, there will be no more meetings of the LeGrand Branch. A vote of thanks was given to Mrs. J. J-Mote and Mrs. L C Knudson for leading the work department.

Farewell Surprise for Mrs Phoebe McCarel Family
Neighbors gathered Thursday evening in a social surprise for Mrs Phoebe McCarel and family. About fifty guests attended, with music by Miss Keith and local students. Refreshments of fruit salad coffee and cake were served by Mrs Richards Mrs Piper and helpers. A small purse was presented as a token of esteem from the community and church.
