Butlerville Truck Accident Injures Twelve Men
A rollover crash near Butlerville corners injured nine of a dozen quarry workers riding home from Coffin quarry. Ed Houghton, 25, suffered a fractured skull, broken leg, and back sprain and was hospitalised in Marshalltown. Other men sustained various cuts, bruises, and broken ribs with several needing minimal injuries.

Well Known Woman Answers Summons
Mrs. Mary Prisha 86 died Friday morning February 24 at her granddaughter’s home in State Center after years of ill health. Born Mary Hrastel in Bohemia February 28 1847 she married Charles Krughel in 1865. They moved to LeGrand in 1876 and she lived in Marshall county since then. Widowed twice, she later married Joseph Prusha who died earlier. Survived by two sons and four daughters and numerous grandchildren. Funeral at Friends church LeGrand Sunday at 2 conducted by Rev. Taylor Guthrie. Burial Pleasant Hill cemetery.

William Joens, a longtime farmer near Traer, has negotiated with Prudential Life Insurance Co. to buy a 160 acre farm ten miles southeast of Waterloo near Washburn for 110 dollars an acre under a four year contract. The sale includes a new 32 by 48 foot barn to be erected this spring, a double corn crib, and 300 rods of fence with payments in livestock and grain each year and a partial credit toward the purchase price while the remainder bears interest at 54 percent.
