Highway Beautification Plan for Lincoln Highway
Under direction of Mrs John Dickinson Sherman and Jens Jensen a comprehensive Lincoln Highway beautification plan from Atlantic to Pacific is developed. The project includes trees and shrubs, markers at historic sites, bird nesting protection, and permanent state line markers designed to be erected along the trail. Eleven specially designed signs, 34 by 32 inches on seven and a half foot posts, are en route to highway councils at boundary points.
