The Twenty Third Annual Christian Workers Assembly of Iowa Yearly Meeting of Friends will convene at the Friends church starting Monday evening June 11 and run Tuesday through Thursday. Sessions will feature speakers able to present the truth and all are welcome whether or not they belong to the Friends church.
Oscar C Terrell, born April 12 1843 in LaPorte County Indiana, died June 2 1917 in LeGrand Iowa at age 74. He moved to Marion then LeGrand, married Desira LaPorte, later Jeanie Tate, had two sons Edward and James. He joined the Friends church in LeGrand and funeral services were held in LeGrand and Green Mountain with burial in Green Mountain cemetery.

The effort aims to reach 100000 people, form 2000 community canning clubs, and promote the cold pack method across 20 counties per demonstrator. In Black Hawk county the first campaign reached 3552 people through 155 demonstrations and 61 clubs with 1100 members.
