J. W. Libby aged 89, a veteran Mason and charter member of Elkader Lodge No. 72, died in Yalea City. He joined Masonry on Sept 3, 1848, moved to Clayton County in 1852, and helped establish Elkader lodge No. 72 on June 5, 1955, serving as its first master. He resided in Elkader and Volga City since 1852.
