Huge order for stone contracted for rip rap work
Tobin Quarries Inc of Kansas City and LeGrand Limestone Co plan a major rip rap project from Omaha to Sioux City. 100000 cubic yards of 25 pound stone will be quarried and crushed with 25 workers to start this season. Ralph Saatholf and W B Swan oversee the operation with loading platforms and railcar dumping. The Swans will reside in LeGrand as the project stretches beyond a single season.
