One of the prettiest wedding services described as held Tuesday at the Friends church united Miss Amy Radloff and Gmer Manship in a full public ceremony. The bride is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Radloff and the groom son of Mr. and Mrs. John Manship. the couple plan a home in Lamoille after a honeymoon in the north. The event drew a large local attendance with musical selections, a Mendelssohn march, and a ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Homer Biddlecum.

Highway Commission Assumes Control Of Main Street
The State Highway Commission takes over Main street from the town square to the west of the Northwestern tracks. Cedar Rapids assistant district engineer C L Gleason and Marshalltown county engineer D C Elder outlined the new road law, with maintenance shifting from town to state officials on July 4. Elder becomes Marshall county Maintenance Engineer to keep West Main street up, freeing town funds to improve east, north, and south roads into town. A prominent subscription drive aims to upgrade East Main to bridge Tama line, as detours reduce roughness once new stone settles.
