Death of Aged Le Grand Woman Gurena Olson
Mrs. Gurena Olson aged 87 widow of John F. Olson died at 2 a m last Friday of old age and senile gangrene. Born in Norway December 22 1832 she came to the United States at 34 and married in Marshalltown. Funeral at Friends church Monday at 10 30 conducted by Rev Frank D Ashba with pallbearers and relatives from Wallingford Marietta Nunda and Le Grand. Burial in Friends cemetery.

George Renbarger observed a dozen or more men riding a westbound freight as a box car opened and a case of shoes was thrown off. He notified Northwestern officials at Boone and Marshalltown police seized a large haul.
