Mr F Nichols of Marshalltown was in town Monday to see aging parents Jno Nichols and wife. Nevada reports Miss Gertrude Finton underwent major surgery at the hospital. latest word she is alive. Barber shop in hotel office with new trade sign. A. R. Price advertises reasonable barbering. O S West of Paullina visited Le Grand friends this week after Chicago stock shipment. Gilbert Peterson of Dubuque said Ed Peterson recovering fast at Rochester and plans home soon. Gilbert notes California road experiences and debates editor’s views on roads. Julia Andem, 85, barricaded in Dunbar/Ferguson home, was brought to Marshalltown for insanity exam. She proved insane. guardianship placed and assets counted at about 3700 in gold and greenbacks.
