New Silver Dollar With Peace Design Issued
The Philadelphia mint will distribute the new silver dollar on Tuesday January 3. The first coin of the peace design was presented to President Harding. The reverse shows a dove on a mountain top clutching an olive branch as rays of the sun shine down with the word peace. This is the first design change since 1878 and will remain for twenty five years unless altered by law. About 800 coins bearing the date 1921 will be minted.
