Mr George Arnold has been stitching harvests in Harvey's sky lit workshop. Curtains brighten the Trowbridge store front. Dillon visitors Mr Charles Lentz Albert Medicus and Dan Bruickelacher called in LeGrand. Rev Geo A Deshler attended Friends ministerial sessions in Marshalltown. Miss Lucile Rosenberger of Oskaloosa visited here. she teaches French and Spanish at Penn College. A postcard from Mrs Mary Condon in St Augustine arrived. Dr Geo H Dobson of Santa Ana renewed subscription. Bickel family hosted relatives at LeGrand. Ice harvest underway with thickness ten to twelve inches. Local firms storing ice include Harvey Shellenbarger Arnold Condon Richards and others. Sawing by I W Richards and John Crow. New Year's dinner by Ladies Aid at Christian church was well attended. 75 meals served and $40 net for church renovation. Blizzard predicted by Washington arrived New Year’s Day with snow and drifting winds lingering into Monday.

Huseboles Husehos Jrs Death Notice in Marshalltown
Community mourns as Husehow Jr dies at 4 pm after pneumonia and heart trouble. Born February 24 1853 near Stavanger Norway he moved to Marshall with parents in 1862 and farmed nearby. Survived by wife Martha two daughters Helen M and Caroline Gunderson and son Marion M. Funeral at home with cemetery interment.

Theodore Male helps Tolotf Woogen saw wood on a frigid Tuesday morning. John Alden and family hosted New Year dinner with Ernest Simmerau on Dec. 28. Mrs B W Fellows gravely ill, prompting Mrs A J Banks to travel to Lochr to her mother Pellows formerly of Montour. A social at Kellogg's on Dec. 28 featured games, dialogues, songs and a bountiful supper with neighbors gifting a surprise birthday for Mr. Geordson on Dec. 27.
