Road Upgrades Planned Near Tama County Line

Keen Knudson wedding at Marshalltown parsonage
Leland R. Keen and Mildred May Knudson wed at the Congregational parsonage in Marshalltown on February 1. Rev. Willis K. Williams officiated. The couple, both longtime locals, left for a Chicago honeymoon and will reside on the Joseph Smaha Sr. farm north of LeGrand after March 1. Telephone Meeting On Local Telephone Service Held
A public meeting for Dunbar Dillon and LeGrand residents will be held in LeGrand on Saturday February 8 at 2 pm to discuss the telephone situation. Mrs Walter Reed was taken to St Thomas hospital in Marshalltown for treatment last Thursday afternoon. Fern Reed will care for her. The Hampshire team played Lamoille Monday evening, a 24 to 21 stand-off with Lamoille edging ahead.
