Coal arrives easing shortage in local neighborhood

Obituary of James Pileager Former Des Moines Foreman
James Pileager, foreman of the Des Moines Union freight house for 34 years and husband of a former LaGrand girl now deceased, died in Des Moines at age over 60. His body was brought to Pleasant Hill for burial after a brief service at Mrs. Sarah Duncan’s home. Attendants included Everett Hanson and daughter Mildred, Mr. and Mrs. White of Des Moines, Will West and family of Bondurant, and D. M. Duncan and daughter Lova of Marshalltown.
