Sudden Death of Peter Lunde in Quarry Area
Peter Lunde longtime Quarry resident died at his home at 3 a.m. Wednesday after a two week illness from pneumonia. Born June 8 1872 on Aami Island near Norway he came to Marshalltown at 17, later lived in Quarry State Center Wat kins and finally returned to Quarry last September. Survived by widow six children and one brother. Funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. Estes funeral home with Rev L T Hibbs officiating. burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
