Le Grand Garden Club Meets at Mertka Home

The Le Grand Garden Club met Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mertka with fourteen members present. Members B. H. Beane and Corwin O Neal gave improvised talks on gardens and a Montreal trip, and plans were discussed for the state tree contest and photograph sharing. The next meeting will be at Corwin O Neal's on September 4 to avoid Labor Day conflicts.

Meeting Recap with Kathryn Buchanan Among Local Group

Local Achievement Day of LeGrand 4-H Club Held

The LeGrand Lucky Leaf 4-H club met at Rosaline Haynes home on Wednesday July 25. Officers opened with the pledge and roll call. Loretta Humphrey and Rosaline Haynes demonstrated pillow making to earn a spot at the County Achievement Day on August 3.

Viaduct Opens to Traffic and Local Travel Continues
